Malibu Adventures

Saturday was one of the best days of the year so far.
We spent the day in Malibu with Alex, Morgan and Iver.
We went up with our surf boards and rock climbing gear, ready to see where the day would take us.
It was SO beautiful and turned out to be SO fun.
We surfed at a new fun place and got some really long rides.
Check out husband and wife, Alex and Morgan, riding the same wave!
We took turns hanging out with this extremely cute little beach bum.
Next we headed to Point Dume, an incredible rock climbing spot on the beach.
On our way, we pulled over to watch two whales swimming right next to the sand!
Pretty cool. Then, when we got to the rock climbing spot,
some animal rescuers were arriving to help an emaciated baby seal.
Shane was so stoked and immediately joined the baby seal rescue squad.
Great day for my animal loving hubby.
We rock climbed into the evening, eating peanut butter and banana sandwiches,
watching a movie being filmed next to us, talking to foreigners,
playing a stranger's guitar, and making Iver smile.
We drove home tired and satisfied with our day of awesome adventures.

Spring Break 2012

Sam and Joe came to spend their spring break in the ocean...smart kids. But really, I talked my mom into flying them out because I don't know how well I'm going to be able to surf when they come this summer!!
We spent the week surfing, paddleboarding, playing tennis, hot tubbing, eating, and watching Parks and Rec, tennis, and Shark Tank. In other words, it was perfect.
These kids are getting good!! Check out Joe shredding this big ol' wave!
Sam making it look easy.
Pregnant lady coming through...
On Friday, Shane and I headed to the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells (near Palm Springs) for the 3rd year in row.
All the best tennis players in the world come out to entertain us and it's awesome.
It's now Shane's favorite 2 days of the year.
We were SO excited that these two were facing off in the semifinal:
Roger Feder and Rafael Nadal - the greatest tennis rivalry of this generation. SO AWESOME.
Shane celebrating his man Roger's big win!
Yes, he was really this excited. This is not a dramatization.

Osbornes: The Next Generation

My brother Alex, his wife Morgan and their son Iver recently moved into their own apartment in Santa Ana! Alex got a great job at the local Habitat for Humanity and now they're only 30 minutes away...we're very happy about it. And of course my brother Brian (with Kirsti, Navy, and Audio) lives in Ventura and is killing it as a designer for Neff.

So when we scored an awesome Groupon deal for 2 nights at a cabin in Big Bear, we decided to make it a family affair! It was the first time our three families had an adventure away together without the parents. It was cool to get a first glimpse into the next generation of Osbornes! (and Harris:)

We had an aweeesssome time snowboarding in the sun, taking turns with the kids at the lodge. We hit up Sizzler, played late night Banangrams, and a took a beautiful lake side walk. How cute are my niece and nephews?!

I feel so lucky to have all these guys so close and to all be friends! It makes me happy.
It's fun to think the next winter there will be one more munchkin added to the mix!! Do you think he/she will be able to do the moose??
