My favorite back pack ever

Last week Morgan and I took our babies on a hike in Laguna Beach!
It was Goldie's first time in the hiking backpack - she did great.
We got a rained on, ended up going on a rain-run, out to lunch and to the beach. Fun.
We are so lucky to have cousin Iver and Aunt Morgan to have adventures with!
Morgan snapped some seriously CUTE pics of the Golden Girl.

Snow surfing.

This winter has been filled with my two loves (my other two loves):
Snowboarding and surfing.

There was snow storm...so Kyle, Bryant, Shane, Goldie and I made an spontaneous trip to Mammoth Mountain! The 6 hour drive went well, with our angel baby. We got a room at the lodge so Shane and I could trade off w/ Golds. It was a BLAST. Two days of awesome snow on a huge mountain.
Another fun day on the slopes was spent with the Hull family at Big Bear.
It was a beautiful sunny, warm So Cal day. The kids did amazingly great, and it was especially awesome to see Katie flying down the mountain. She's one inspiring, awesome little lady.
And then there is surfing.
I was really afraid Goldie would keep me away from the waves...but alas, it isn't so!
Shane and I have had a few special sessions where we were able to surf together. I have spent several mornings surfing solo (surprisingly still awesome).
But what has been SUPER amazing has been surfing with my sister in law, Morgan.
Her super rad mom lives in San Clemente (where the BEST waves are). So, we drop off our babies with her and head out into the ocean! Our mom surf sessions have brought some of the most beautiful, fulfilling, rejuvenating afternoons of my post-baby life. I am so thankful for Morgan and her mom, Tania.

I often picture my little Goldie flying down the mountain, and playing in the waves. I can't WAIT to show her the ropes. And the joys!

My life will never be the same.

Yep. It happened.
When JT announced that he was coming out with new music...um yeah, I was more than excited.
Then he announced he'd be doing his first show in a small club in LA in one week!!!
Yeah, even more excited, if that's possible.
Tickets sold out in minutes, and I almost cried thinking I didn't get any, but alas, I DID!

We went. We watched. I drooled.
And it. was. AMAZING.
We arrived at 7:30 to a huge line. Some people had camped out. There were people who came from other countries. It was a BIG deal. We got in at 9:30, and I sprinted to the stage where I got us a spot about 15 feet from the front row (standing only). A DJ played...and played...and at 11:30 JT took the
stage. And KILLED it.

He played all his hit songs, plus 3 from his new album. The crowd went nutso when Jay-Z came on stage for Suit and Tie, and Timbaland showed up to end it with Sexyback.
JT's voice was insane, he did all kinds of rad new musical arrangements, his dancing was super smooth, he had fun with the audience and his band. He is an entertainer extraordinaire.

All of these pics were taken with OUR camera.
We were so close we could see his sweaty forehead.
I was DYING.

Telling Goldie about the show sporting my prized bootleg JT tee.
She was stoked about it.
Here are videos from my two favorite performances of the night:
#1 - New song "That Girl." So smooth. A future hit fo sho.
#2 - Dancing w/ backup singers to an MJ song. SO AWESOME.
This vid includes clips from OUR camera. Skip 1:20 to to see how close we were!!
I was frrrreeeaaking out.

Christmas, baby.

Goldie's first Christmas was one to remember!
After an great week and of half of just Goldie and I at my parents' in Albuquerque, the rest of gang arrived. Shane, my two older brothers, and their families (including 3 young kids) made the 14 hour drive together in a big rental van! (What a guy Shane is - he was the designated driver!)
We had a fun-filled week, packing in the activities - the only way the Osborne family knows how!
We snowboarded, hiked, ate tons, play lots of Settles of Catan (I know, geeky but fun!), played games in the church gym, rock climbed, shopped, played basketball and some of us pulled pranks (Shaaaaane.) We made some pretty great memories.
It was so cute to see the 4 cousins together! And also super fun to see my parents as grandparents. They were so excited to have their entire family all together in their house for Christmas.
THANK YOU Mom and Dad for everything!! You guys made it happen.
